Audible Static or Noise in Videos


Eyefi has identified that videos recorded on certain cameras with an Eyefi Card exhibit audible static or noise during video playback. This happens when the card is connected to a wi-fi network while recording a video and is caused by electrical noise in the audio circuitry in these particular cameras.

One suggestion to minimize the potential for noise in videos is to take advantage of the "Selective Transfer" feature in the card settings panel. Users can use this setting to control which files upload, offering some control to prevent uploading when shooting video.

From the hundreds of cameras used by Eyefi users, we have confirmed that the following models below exhibit audible static or noise during video playback. If you have a camera that is demonstrating this problem, please contact Eyefi Customer Care to report the problem.
